Dog limping after running, what should I do?
The most common cause of dog limping after running is injury and trauma.
You should assess if the limping had a gradual onset or it happened suddenly. This can often help to determine the cause of limping. In case the limping doesn’t bother your dog then it is recommended to wait for a few hours and see if the limping has reduced. If the cause of limping wasn’t major, then it is possible that things will resolve by themselves. If the limping hasn’t reduced or has gotten worse – you should visit your veterinarian to determine why your dog is limping.
